Loves me.so .e dairy queen ice cream. The blizzard is most likely one of the most significant creations of man kind. This location is pretty good. Kids behind the counter take tips to be generous.

I'm a simple guy. I like vanilla milkshakes, and this DQ makes a darn good shake. The staff here are friendly, if not a bit disjointed. And they could use a larger parking lot, but that's not their fault. They do pretty well with what they've got. Too bad the French silk pie Blizzard has been discontinued. That was my wife's favorite :(

This DQ is located a couple of blocks down the street from Ron Jon Surf Shop. Their website claims this to be a DQ/Orange Julius, but it is actually accompanied by a Subway, with an inside door allowing access to both eateries without exiting the building. Maybe it was an OJ at one time? I love how some fast food places leave a jar for tips. Well, I ordered an Oreo Blizzard, and I did not give a tip. In return, the employee did not turn my blizzard upside down while presenting it. I was thoroughly disappointed. I flipped it over myself, but it wasn't the same.

My family and I were in five minutes before closing and as we were being served another family walked in - with still five minutes to close. The DQ employee decided to tell this family that DQ was closed even though the Open sign was still lit, door unlocked and she was serving us ice cream! Terrible help, she should be fired.

Why is this place even in business??. I went at 9:30 pm tonight and ordered a hot dog. The reply "Sorry its too late for hot food?" What sense does that make.?? Plus a "cash only" sign on the front door. Really? Obviously a poorly managed establishment. I will never return!

The only reason they got 1 star is because I could not give them a 0!!! Horrible customer service. The manager, Shasta was very rude!!! Started slamming chairs 10 minutes before closing and than said right at 11:00, "15 minutes and I'm kicking everyone out of here!" She continued to answer the phone with attitude, cutting customers off and saying "ummm, were closed!" The last area was when she animatedly declared her hatred of the "1-11 shift" right in front of us. Our party felt very un-welcomed. We will never be visiting this location again, at least as long as Shasta McNasty-attitude is still there.

I stopped by this DQ location on a cool March evening. It was only in the mid-60s, but I was hungry for a sundae and happened to pass this place and decided to stop in. This is a smaller DQ and it shares a storefront with Subway. They only offer their line of "cool treats" here along with a few types of hot dogs. It's not a full-blown "Brazier" location, so none of their signature burgers or other hot foods are available here. Even though it was a colder evening, this place was packed! Every table except for 1 was full and there were probably 6 or 7 people in line ahead of me when I arrived. That being said, they did have at least 3 people working here on this night so they got everyone served pretty quickly. The woman taking the orders and the ladies making the the shakes, cones and other tasty treats were all very upbeat, they definitely enjoy working with people and it showed. It's always good to see true "customer service", as that's something you don't always find often.

They do not wear gloves when dipping their cones in chocolate & when handing it over, they serve it holding the cone w/ their hands. No gloves! Disgusting! That's not sanitary! Isn't that against health regulations? When I asked them about it, the cashier said they always serve it like that & that they wash their hands. Yes ok, you wash your hands but then you touch the register & cash. We all know what you can find on cash... If you don't know, then you don't want to know b/c it's gross! Well, the cashier went to the back to let the manager on duty know & all of a sudden, it was a BIG deal to them that I asked for another one. Sorry but you need GLOVES when handling food like that! Not a fan & will not go back!!! I'd actually would give them a negative 5. Btw: I did not even eat the ice cream cone. Who knows what they did after that!!!

It's a DQ. They have all the DQ desserts. They do not have DQ food. The girls there are very very friendly. They will help you decide which treat you will have. When my bill was $6.02, they gave me 2 pennies to make it even instead of 98 cents in change. They are fast, so don't be afraid of a line. They all wear hairnets and they place seems clean. The only draw back is that they share space with a Subway. There is an over riding smell of bread and subs. That does not mix well with ice cream. They also have Orange Julius drinks. Only a few, but they have some. They have cherry dip, which I guess is hard to find. They also do the mini blizzards for $2.59. It's just the right size...especially if you plan on coming a few times during your vacation. Overall, while on vacation in Cocoa Beach, stop here as a nightly treat.

This is a small DQ which unfortunately shares space (and restrooms) with the inelegant Subway chain. As in there was a wee line to get hot dogs and some ice cream and stoopid people actually couldn't wait and got Subway instead, the chain which thinks it can copyright the term "footlong" their idiot Iowa lawyers having never had a footlong hot dog at a friggin DQ or a ballpark or anywhere thinking people live on Planet Earth. Even Somali Pirates probably have had a footlong hot-dog, I reckon. Hot dogs and ice cream, it's not a burger place, but they do have Orange Julius and I tried it too and they do it right (unlike most DQ's run by people not old enuf to have seen an Orange Julius stand). And that means a hint of vanilla in the Orange Julius, that is (or was) their secret. Good ice cream after a day at the beach.

WARNING!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! Why do I even have to give a star? Placed a very simple order a week in advance for a normal Reese's ice cream cake, "Just like the picture i said" and even got a reply back saying "yes, brown with crumbled Reeses scattered on top". When I went to pick it up it was some bright Red & White thing not even close!!! Manager even came in to fix it and when he was done he took off the happy birthday part which was the only thing right about it!!!!!!!! WTF'!!!!!! What a bunch of stoned Spicoli type morons. Totally screwed up my sons birthday!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered an Orange Julius and it was NOT what I remembered it being. It should have been served colder...

Seriously a gold mine! No matter the time of day or night there is always a bit of a line...it moves quickly . DQ has all of the classic + up to date choices...EXCEPT my all time favorite butterscotch dipped cone. Teenage staff, outdoor + indoor seating.

DQ in Cocoa Beach for Cool Desserts Although there are over one hundred restaurants in Cocoa Beach alone, this is the one we visit the most. We belong to the DQ Blizzard Fan Club and get a Buy One Get One Free Coupon each month in an email. Many beach goers come here, as do tourists and local alike. DQ, by the way, stands for Dairy Queen. This fast food restaurant shares the stand-alone building with Subway. Funny thing is that I rarely see visitors ordering at both restaurants. We come for the Heath Bar or the Reese Cup Blizzard. A Blizzard is a soft serve ice cream with bits of cookie, candy, fruit or chocolate incorporated into vanilla ice cream. There are over 20 flavor blends from which to choose. Each month DQ features a different flavor. This month it is Pumpkin Pie. Blizzards come in mini, small, medium or large sized cups. The Blizzard comes with a long red plastic spoon for eating. Either eat your dessert inside the air-conditioned restaurant or outside on one of the small table that overlook A1A. Usually it is too hot to sit outside but after the sun goes down it is fun to do so and people watch at the same time. We often just do take out since we live so close. Although they are supposed to serve us the cups upside down to demonstrate how thick it was, that has not happened lately. I would just smile when they did that anyway - no big deal. The service is always very friendly and the place looks neat and clean. A while ago, it received a minor renovation. While I wait for my order, I always check out the freezer case for take home goodies. The original Orange Julius sounds delicious but I have never tried it. The newer fruit smoothie flavors tempt me more, though. If parfaits, slushes, sundaes, lattes or brownie desserts are more to your liking, DQ serves them also. Personally, when I am very hungry, I enjoy either the Banana Split - soft serve vanilla ice cream with two slices of banana covered with three syrups - pineapple, chocolate and strawberry and of course whipped topping or the Chocolate Covered Strawberries Waffle bowl - so yummy. You can also order cakes, malts or shakes of all kinds. The hardest part is deciding which kind of treat and what flavor to order. These all come only in one size - just the right size, too. The only food items that I ever saw ordered here at the Cocoa Beach location were hot dogs. I have been to DQ restaurants elsewhere that were full menu restaurants with a large food menu besides the ice cream treats & drinks. At those restaurants, you can order combos, burgers, sandwiches, baskets, chicken sandwiches/wraps, salads and sides, also. The Cocoa Beach location, unfortunately, is not one of those. While on the road recently, we did stop at one of these full menu restaurants in GA and I was happy to see all the choices. We saw many servicemen inside and many families, too. The Chicken (veggie is also available) Quesadilla that I ordered was delicious served with sour cream, salsa and onion rings. In addition, the Blizzard that I also ordered was so thick and filled with lots large pieces of candy. I would love to go back there again sometime. We come to DQ in Cocoa Beach because of its convenient location, the Blizzard Fan Club Coupons, the relatively fast service unless it is peak times and the taste of the blizzards. The prices are inexpensive even without a coupon. Parking is out front & spaces are rarely a problem since there is also an empty storefront next door to handle the overflow. Check it out after a hot day at the beach, cool off inside and order whatever looks good to you.

I am a frequent flyer and blizzard-fanatic at DQ, but this location didn't quite live up to my standards. The lack of a drive-thru was an unpleasant surprise and they seemed to have trouble handling the ice cream rush hour. Not all bad though, the employees were friendly during our brief encounter and the ice cream was good as usual.

Came here after the beach.....how do you mess up ice cream right?? Well....apparently you can. Skip this place and take a drive to the Merritt Island Dairy Queen! It is much better

I'm a huge Dairy Queen fan. We only got DQs in California within the past decade or so. Before that, I had to wait until our summer trips to see family in Illinois to enjoy their wonderful frozen treats. My daughter and I made a visit to Cocoa Beach last weekend, and I was pleased to find a DQ there. It was a warm and beautiful December day, and we were positively beaming while we scarfed down our ice cream in the sunshine. This particular location was clean and the lady behind the counter was very nice. If I'm ever in Cocoa Beach again, I will definitely return.

Cash only - what an inconvenience when you have a group. And then they may not have change. Nothing special from any other DQ except inconvenience.
